Cylinder Rim Locks
Cylinder Rim Locks come in several styles. There are two sizes, 60mm for standard doors and 40mm for use on doors with a narrow stile such as wood framed glass doors. Some locks may be deadlocked by key from the outside (Yale 89) while a traditional nightlatch can only be deadlocked via the snib on the lock case (Yale 77). Dead bolts and Rollerbolts are also available.Most cylinder rim locks are available in two 'keying options'. These are 'keyed alike' or 'keyed to differ'.
'Keyed Alike' means that, if you buy several locks, you can specify that they all use the same key thus reducing the number of keys you need to carry.
'Keyed to differ' is the opposite. Each lock is operated by its own key.
A small extra charge is made for 'keyed alike' locks to cover the cost of altering the lock mechanisms to all accept the same key.
